Brooklyn Bridge | Dumbo Brooklyn | Brooklyn NY | Aneedra and Mark Engagement | Jay Zhang Photography

Aneedra and Mark are the type of souls that when they meet, they can not be apart, They energize each other and push each other to be their best. Aneedra the strong, boisterous and highly intelligent women, and Mark the kind, inquisitive and supportive man are two sides of the same coin. Sometimes we forget that people are multifaceted and that when we posses one human trait, we also often possess the other. But enough about cerebral discussions of the human personality psyche and how love binds them (maybe That should be a book title!) lets talk about the amount of FUN we had on the Brooklyn Bridge, at The Brooklyn Bridge Park, and DUMBO.

Brooklyn Bridge + NYC Engagement | Nadjia and Laurence | Jay Zhang Photography

We had been planning this for months, convinced that a Sunrise Session on the Brooklyn Bridge was going to be glorious only to find out that it was going to rain on the morning of their engagement! However, even with the rain, we can make magic happen, a light, an umbrella and a foggy misty city skyline made for an amazing morning. Laurence and Nadjia are two amazingly chill people who love life, who have gone through many struggles together and who withstand the world together. The amount of laughing they did all morning was amazing, between being silly, talking about inside jokes and embracing their personalities with me around it was a day filled with magic.

Long Island City NY Gantry Plaza State Park | Kristin and TJ's Engagement Session

At first this pup stole the show so I just had to get a couple of photos of this little one because WHO KNOWS when i’ll get to see this sweet heart again! I digress… :-)

Kristin and TJ were up for attempting this day’s engagement session because let me tell you, TJ is as tough as they come. He had sustained an injury to his foot and honestly, I convinced them to do the engagement session as long as they were able to move to spots. With our limited ability to be super mobile, TJ Powered through the session with a great spirit. Apparently, he was telling jokes because Kristin could not stop laughing with her beautiful smile. They are both adventurous and super fun people who are considerate of others and they LOVE being on the slope. Honestly, I can’t wait until we’re on the slopes for their wedding! Stay tuned for their 2019 Wedding!

Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement | Karissa and John

When I think about happiness and love and what couple’s are like when they are at their best together, I think about couple’s like Karissa and John. They laugh together, and I mean they laugh A LOT, they worry about the important things together, having fun, spending time, being happy and loving life. I am so lucky to find people like these two because they make sessions fun, because they keep things REAL with REAL happiness. We had SO much fun that day playing around in the beautiful urban setting and setting sun, and they hardly even noticed all the people just walking right through.

Brooklyn Bridge is ALWAYS packed with people, especially during sunset time and its hardly a wonder why some couples feel unsure about getting photos in these locations because there are so many families there enjoying their day at the park. However, we were in our own little world, and I love that about the city sometimes - we could be entrenched in the middle of a bunch of people, and because everyone is different, nothing is surprising. They felt comfortable just being in love.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement | Rachel + Sean | Jay Zhang Photography

These two say they HATE photos of them, but as soon as we met I knew that I HAD TO GET PHOTOS OF THEM. Can you blame me? They're SO HAPPY and Incredibly Gorgeous but also, Genuine - Key to everything. I mean they say they were shy but I don't believe them ;-) We had some fun at the Brooklyn Bridge Park and even though there were a ton of people around, they melted into each other and forgot about everyone else. Even when derp moments occur, apparently this WOULD happen to them hahaha. I can't wait to have fun at this wedding!
