Century House Albany NY | Kelly and Tony's Wedding

Century House Albany NY | Kelly and Tony's Wedding

Kelly and Tony were fated to be together, when I first met them they seemed like lovers who had finally got together and who already understood how infinite Love is, that it extends not for our partners, but to our families and each otherโ€™s families. Family is super important to these two and it was without a doubt a big part of their day. But let me tell you how excited these two were to see each other. A first look that was filled with just EXCITEMENT, no nerves - well maybe a little bit but mostly just excitement. My favorite thing about weddings is the first look, the raw moment that happens and the pure happiness that just fills the entire space.

A day filled with love, excitement, surprises and good friends and family. What else could you ask more? Maybe some more delicious cake :-)

Emerson Spa and Resort Wedding | Erika and Alex's Wedding

Erika and Alex are SO adventurous. Let me just say this to all my upcoming couples, BE ADVENTUROUS, take the little bit of a risk for your photos. I always try to keep my clients safe, dry and clean but sometimes you just gotta trust me a little to get some amazing shots! These two were up for anything, I am so grateful because Kristen and I scouted the site early on and found some great spots for photos. It was raining that day and you know the old adage about rainโ€ฆ its wet, I mean good luck on your wedding day ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜….

Thereโ€™s an old saying that rain is lucky on your wedding day because when you tie the knot on your wedding day and it rains, the knot itself is harder to untie. Think about that for a second ;-)

Ready to see some adventures?

Katie and Pierre love being silly with each other, even if the camera makes them both super nervous. But in the way they snuggle and whisper and hold each other close, there is without a doubt something that just resinates between them. I don't know if I have the right words for this light fluffy heart feeling that comes with love and care for another person but thats how I would describe it. They love TV shows and they love going out on the town for some adventure, they work hard and they play hard, so the time they spend together is easy going, and low key.

Century House Wedding | Latham NY | Laurel and Barb

These two have been waiting and waiting and WAITING for this day, with complicated situations barring the logistics of the event actually happening, it was FINALLY the day that these two got to tie the knot with each other. It was a beautifully happy day with these two beautiful women who just so badly wanted to be together and with each other. I don't know these two outside of them being together, but from what I've heard, they are the happiest they have ever been since they have been together, and all I wanted to do was document their happiness together. There was just so much love during this day. They were surrounded by family members who they wanted to share their day with, and the love that exuded the room was overwhelmingly heart warming. I'm pretty sure it was the perfect day for them, and i'm sure they'd want to do it again if they could!

These two have so much fun. The energy these both share and exchange with each other tells me that they are never short of always laughing. Yes they are romantic, yes they are like any normal couple, but man do they make every moment more fun than the next. I would usually say between all the laughter there are a lot of quiet moments, but really though... between all the soft kisses and the warm embraces and the sitting in silence together, are the belly laughs and the silly faces and the constant back and forth of trying to out comedy the other. I couldn't stop laughing, I want you all to not stop laughing either. My heart is so full.

What a beautiful day. I couldn't say enough about how important family is to both Tamara and Luisa. Family means everything, and to these two, they both mean everything to each other. Their details were beautiful, their setting was beautiful, their ceremony was beautiful, THEY. WERE. BEAUTIFUL. I'll cut to the chase, Lots of crying, lots of laughing, and lots of loving.

Renaissance Hotel Albany | Kirsten and Asher's Wedding | Jay Zhang Photography

This couple is kicking off 2018 wedding season with a BANG. Incredibly easy going, fun loving, always silly couples are the best. They just wanted to be with each other, be near each other, see their friends, see their family, share moments together, and most importantly, make each other laugh SO HARD ALL DAY. I can't explains the amount of laughing that occurred all day (also the amount of crying) but there was happiness to be had by all. Can you blame them when the day went beautifully?

Ampersand Bay Resort | Ryan and Matt's Engagement

Ryan and Matt found me online, but I knew that talking to them made me realize that they needed to be my clients because they are both silly and ready to party, but indulge in the quiet romantic moments when they get the chance. Of course they were a bit shy at first, and it was a bit chilly out by the water, but as soon as they began being silly and laughing and embracing to stay warm, I couldn't get them to stop smiling, not that I wanted to anyway :-). They just get better and better as the day went on, and my favorite moments from this session are ALL of the in-between moments. I can't WAIT for their day!
