NYC Central Park Engagement | Peter and Jason
I can't lie, it was a rainy Sunday in the middle of the city and there was no evidence of it stopping anytime soon! Fortunately, these two were up for the adventure as the rain sometimes took some moments to waiver in its strength and allow us to be less wet. Might I add that the penguin umbrella was not planned? It was essentially the perfect prop for the day, and we played in the rain. regardless of where we decided to take photos, things were quiet, allowing this hard working hyper focused couple to really enjoy their time with each other.
Indian Ladder Farms Engagement | Alexis and Brian
Alexis and Brian are super cool and super chill and completely down to earth people. Brian was just a bit nervous (sorry man! putting you on the spot!) but all in all, he warmed up and started having a bit of fun with the session. These two work hard and passionately in their careers, both helping people in need, whether its the public, or those who are having issues with their beloved fur babies. I am sensing a theme of my clients as a criteria with working with me: MUST BE COMPASSIONATE PEOPLE. Check out their photos :-)
Yaddo Gardens Engagement | Angela + Dan
I first met Angela and Dan at the Century House Wedding Show and they won my free Engagement Session! They were nervous, as are most couples when they have to be in fornt of the camera, but once they warmed up a little and were able to be a little bit open with each other. It turned out spectacular.
Thatcher Park Engagement | Erika and Alex
Compassion for others runs through the blood of these two, and when two kind hearts come together, it becomes so apparent that they carry their compassion through into their relationship. Although they live in NYC now, I can't wait for their Wedding! There were a lot of laughs and a lot of conversations that were had that might very well be embarrassing (but I couldn't hear it, i swear!). I don't know what they are like apart, but together they are calm and collected, hearts of ease and comfort. Let me show you what we made that day!
Yaddo Gardens | Briana + Tom's Engagement Session
These two love birds are getting married next year and I couldn't be more excited! They met me at a previous client's wedding and apparently they liked me ;) These two are funny, and they both have their own shy moments. These moments are always so fun to exploit because it brings out the giggles in each other. Tom, with his dad jokes and Briana with her adventurous attitude are just perfect for each other. I can't wait for their big day!
Century House Wedding | Michelle + Gina's Wedding
Michelle and Gina Tied the knot! It was a crazy day filled with a lot of love, a lot of family, and a LOT of friends. There was even a special guest appearance! You'll just have to scroll through to see... ;-) This has been a long time coming for them, and with everything being just the right timing and things working out for the better, it was a day to remember, and like every couple tells me, it felt like it didn't even happen because of how fast it all went by. That is what Photographers are here for. Let me just jog your memory.
Averill Park NY | Meghan and Bill's Engagement Session
Meghan and Bill live in their home here in West Sand Lake, and where better place to take some Engagement Photos than on their deck overlooking the Lake. Oh of course since we were so close we had to take advantage of the town beach :-) Lighting was great and perfect, it was an easy going day with a lot of laughs, and lots of smiles. I can't wait for their wedding next year!
Springside Inn Auburn NY | Kristen and Rick's Wedding
I was honored to be a part of a good friend of mine's big day. Two teachers, organized just like teachers because when I got to both their getting ready locations they were both ready and took all my advice. I mean besides the fact that I was loving that they listened to my advice, they both were so excited to see each other down the aisle that everything else melted away as soon as those doors opened. It was quite the day, filled with lots of excitement, lots of silly faces, lots of beautiful people, and TONS of shenanigans. My favorite!
Longfellows Resturant | Alice and Sal's Wedding
Its a long time coming for Alice and Sal to tie the knot and join these two families together! These two sweet, smart, and super hardworking people who couldn't help but laugh and smile throughout the whole day, especially right during the first look. There was nothing that was going to make their day better other than officially tying the knot. It was a perfect day.
Stable Gate Winery Wedding | Anusheh and Paul
Anusheh and Paul have this energy about them that radiates when they are together. You could tell they enjoy each other's company, but more importantly to them, they enjoy listening to each other and their input. Their energy only amplifies when Paul's daughter Maya comes into the picture, and you know that family is the most important part of their being. Their love for each other can only be championed by the love they both share for Maya, and they care for their family's well being.
Buckley Farms | Lisa and Roxana
This sweet Brooklyn Based couple wanted to have their small intimate wedding up in the capital region, specifically at the Buckley Farms! I love this spot, its filled with so much wholesomeness and ease. Things could not have been more perfect for a low key, light hearted, and exciting day filled with lots of loved ones and lots of heart felt tears. I say this a lot but I felt so honored to have been a part of this intimate day.
The Venue in Cohoes NY | Erica and Ben's Wedding
These two are fun, light hearted, adventure filled, easy going, and ready to seize and party through their day. Even during formals, they just wanted to get out there and dance and party and just have fun for the day. They look out for each other and they always have each other's backs. BTW did I ever tell you how FANTASTIC they both looked? nailing it at every turn. Chills all day.
Stablegate Winery Wedding | Steph + Todd's Wedding 2017
I have been waiting to blog this wedding because it was such a good day. I essentially have been blessed with such amazing Couples so I obviously say that a lot, but these two though, have been so awesome all day. Nailed everything, had a ton of fun, someone got "Iced" - some ya'll know what that means, people cried, people laughed, there were fireworks. FIREWORKS. I made gifs, lots of them. Enough from me, check these out!
Apple Greens Golf Course | Anna and Kirstie's Wedding
I feel like I can't say enough about how these two feel about each other, there's this calming effect they must have when they are together because even when things aren't going perfectly, once they are together, none of it seems to matter - and it shows in their faces, and in the way they hold each other, make each other laugh, and even when they poke fun because its no longer too serious, it becomes light hearted. Love means when you look at the other, you are finding peace and balance, you are finding someone who you admire and pushes you to be better, and you find yourself prioritizing them over yourself sometimes. I felt so truly lucky to have shot their wedding.
Central Park Schenectady NY | Kelly + Tony's Engagement
Kelly and Tony are super fun and totally up for anything I wanted to create for them (which are always my favorite words!) They chose Schenectady because this was a place of childhood memories that is rarely visited now. So I took them around the rose garden just to spring up some memories and to re acquaint them with the friendly atmosphere and the abundance of life. I can't wait for their wedding in 2018!
Honors Haven Ellenville NY | Mat + Mike
Mat and Mike have already "officially" gotten married but still wanted to have their celebration with all of their loved ones, friends and family and everyone under the rainbow. Honors Haven was the perfect place for them to do it, as the day was gorgeous and their photos essentially captured the care they have for each other, the sillyness and relaxed nature of their relationship, and the teamwork and communication that was displayed through their efforts in making this day the perfect day. #MatMike17
Troy NY Engagement | Michelle and Gina
Michelle and Gina are what most comfortable couples are like, easy going and don't take anything too seriously when it comes to making each other laugh. Ironically, they had just had a small argument prior to them being at the engagement session, which of course I took the oppertunity to start making it awkward. Those who have ever been in relationships know that the last thing you want to do when you're angry at your significant other is be close to them at all. Well, when you're with me, and you just had an argument, I'm dumping you right into the fray, Kisses, snuggles, and awkward stares galore. The thing I admire most about this couple is their honesty to each other, and their unapologetic love for each other.
Yaddo Gardens Engagement | Alice and Sal
Alice and Sal are getting married soon and I can not WAIT for their big day at Longfellows. Alice is a smart and sweet woman who will tell you what is on her mind, and Sal is a soft hearted witty man who cares deeply and passionately. We toured the grounds of Yaddo and it was without a doubt A HOT DAY. These two walked with me like a champ, and they just wanted to be with each other every moment of it. Its funny to see couples because they all share the same few traits that I notice, its the ease at which they fall into each other's arms as they melt everything else away.
Laughing Earth Farm Engagement | Stephanie and Todd
Stephanie and Todd are both working in fields that are focused on the environment and practices that aims to be less detrimental to our mother earth. One a farm girl who goes back to the roots of food and its role it plays on farms with the rest of the earth, and the other a boy who works for a new environmentally conscious material that has the potential to be used for anything and is easily disposable without impacting the earth.
BTW, did I ever tell you that I've always wanted to be on a farm? It is literally one of my favorite things to be on. I love the grand lush fields and the attention seeking animals and the hardwork and the wood structures. Its BEYOND cute. We got to explore a little more than what you would normally get to see so check out their photos ;-)
Saratoga National Historic Park Engagement | Erica + Ben
Erica and Ben are quite the couple, they both love to laugh and are both easy with each other. They may have moments where they will look at each other funny, probably for one more than the other, but they don't take each other too seriously when it comes to having fun and spending time together. When it comes down to it, their strengths come out in full force and things get done. When they work hard, they also play hard. Check out the shenanigans of the day!
