I’ve been wanting to do this wedding blog for a while now, mostly because some detail elements of the couple’s lives reverberate with mine, and because I don’t have the permission to share the detail, I will let you fill in the blanks.

The day starts with A TON of laughing, perfect - that means we’re in for a PARTY. I get to Katie’s room and one of the bridesmaids is DEFINITELY keeping the party vibes on high (You the true MVP). There was no shortage of laughing, champagne, beautiful details and loving family in this room. Before her mom gets to put on her dress we take a couple of photos of Katie and her Bridesmaids on the balcony and a small champagne toast. When Katie is all buttoned up in her dress, we did a quick first look with Dad and then I moved into Ryan’s room to capture some details as he gets ready. His sister helps him put on his jacket and a family friend/florist help pin the flower and we quickly whisk ourselves away to get ready for the First Look before it starts to have the IDEA of rain.

Ryan decided that he was going to “Cool Guy” pose for me so I obviously had to take the photo. When Stunning Katie came, it was go time. You could tell Ryan was nervous and excited just waiting, and when he was allowed to turn around, his face lights up with stars in his eyes. It starts to drizzle a little so we move inside to do a couple of photos among the incandescent stars upstairs and then brave the outside for some beautiful greenery, flying veils and mirrored moments.

When I got to do some photos of the guests, OH I could not wait for the reception, it was going to be a party and for some reason or another, every Revolution Hall wedding I’ve ever document, it has ALWAYS been a fun time. Ceremony and Family photos  with some cocktail hour shenanigans and then it was TIME for reception!

After first dance, Katie and her Dad took the floor and did a small Father Daughter Dance, before they bring out her mother to be part of their dance, and then her dad decided to bring Ryan onto the dance floor. To me, this was a sweet moment, where her family symbolically accepts Ryan into their family, by sharing in their moments together.

Then the part which brings me to tears is when Ryan and his sister dance together. Memories flood their minds as they console each other on the dance floor, especially when his sister tries to dip her extremely tall brother. The tears don’t last long, because life is meant to be celebrated! After dances, Toasts and some more “Moody Judy” (As Katie likes to say) photos, they party, and My god they Partied. It was an amazing day, a day that was meant to be remembered forever.
