The Wedding day goes by real fast. If you haven't already heard this, you will eventually hear this for the 11th-teenth time, yes I know that isn't an actual word but you get the point.

There is a ton of truth to this and thinking about your wedding day timeline is as important as picking out your venue and picking out your photographer! I will take you through a typical Wedding Day Timeline with Jay Zhang Photography to help the newly engaged couples plan out their day with their photographer. 

It was the perfect day filled with tons of anticipation, lots of Love, and Lots of laughs. The day couldn't have been more perfect and there was plenty of emotions flying around. The anticipation of their first look was enough to wait no longer. These beauties just couldn't stop radiating all day and lasted late into the evening. Can we just say how beautiful these two were? Well, just look for yourselves!

When it came time to do engagement photos of just them, I could tell that they have so much fun with each other all the time. No matter how rough the days go, I can tell that at some point, someones going to make a silly face so silly, that it'll make the other laugh at how ridiculous it is. Danielle + Emily are getting married in November and I can't wait for the day! Its going to be a day filled with fun and love. These two were absolutely excited too, I could tell by the way they both radiated out in the apple orchard. If you don't believe me, just take a gander at my favorites.

The early morning was one of those stay at home days, where you could read a book and drink a cup of coffee, but It wasn't just any one of those days. This day was Their wedding day, The lighting was beautiful even if the weather was anything but stellar, but that is why you hire the Professionals to take care of you through it. 

A LOOOONG Time ago, My friends Winnie + Andrew asked me to do a small elopement session with them, so we did! This has been a blog worthy blog for a LOOONG time and I've waited forever to show you how cute these are.

These two have know each other for so long, and they decided that it was time to formalize their commitment amongst friends and family. The ceremony was intimate, and small, but the impact and the honor I felt documenting their day was beyond measure. Congratulations to the newly wed and to continuing their journey together. 

It's wedding season! And what a great wedding to kick off the wedding season!  Kate and Joe first approached me to document their day and I felt more than honored to show them how great their story was, quirky, classy, funny, and full of love, these two were meant to be together. These photos just tell the story.

Tami + Jamie came to me to do their wedding, and we became friends almost instantly. We talked about what they liked and the things they do together over dinner at the Illium Cafe and they were so cute. They were just as cute during their engagement session and I can't wait until their wedding day! We went over to Indian Meadows Park over in Glenville in their neck of the woods and there were many trails and it was just the most perfect of days! Check it out here!

When Kate and Joseph approached me to capture their big day, I was more than estatic, and she wanted to get some photos while the snow was on the ground for her engagements. Perfect timing! With a busy schedule, it wasn't easy to find time, but when we did, it was perfect timing. Check out my favorites from their engagement as they showed me their more intimate side to them.

I was thrilled to be a part of such a grand event as Richard and Scott's Wedding on the MSC Divinia. There was great music playing selected by Rich and Scott and Re-composed and scored by the MSC Entertainment team. It honestly was a great job. We all had so much fun, I mean just check out some of the 365 Blog and you'll see some Shenanigans that we got into. For this blog though, something a little more intimate. I couldn't be more happy to present Lee Helsby and Joseph Roche as a married couple! I congratulate their recent celebration of holy matrimony and hope that their wedding day was only one day in their continued happy memories together. They've been together for many years and have seen so many changes in the world but it was finally time that they get married because they finally could be seen as a married couple by law. First, Let me show you their adorable engagement session, and then I will unfold their wedding night.

Jeff and Andrew indulged me for me a promotional shoot for Pride Weekend, So we went into Schenectady and had some fun! Some people are usually wary of Public Displays of Affection (PDA) but I asked them to be brave and to just have some fun with it. We walked around Union College and Jay Street to get some magnificently symbolic images of their relationship together. See for yourself!

These two! super sweet. Carrie recently just graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is moving into the city of Albany with mike to prepare for her first job in the field. Exciting right? even more exciting was that they wanted to take a Just Because Couple's Session with me to give out as postcards to friends and family. I was definitely more than happy to help (now) a fellow Alumni who also happens to also be in my field of study. She even printed my photos and put them on the wall! How to describe this feeling? Heartfelt.

Photo shoots can be fun if prepared for with the right things in mind. This will be a quick tutorial for those getting ready for a general photo shoot. I mostly do portraits involving families, couples, solos and pets so this blog post will be geared more towards how to great ready, get comfortable and get in the mind set for these types of shoots.
