Sam and Kevin were super nervous at the beginning and as the day went by they were super excited and down for any new ideas I’ve been waiting to try out. We explored Washington Park and ended up at the Plaza of which we made some pretty steller shots that i’ve only been picturing in my head. They were game for something new and fresh. The day was nice and warm and their smiles were out all day. I made kevin do the “High school Jock” pose just for fun but something tells me that he’s done this particular stance before seeing how he looks so natural going into it, Sam’s facial reaction pretty much sums it up ;-)
I can’t wait to share with you their wedding in May which is JUST around the corner, can you believe it? It’ll be here in no time! Read More
At first I felt a little bit reserved because they wanted to do part of their Engagement Session at the Oakwood Cemetery but when we got started, the light was beautiful and everything was so amazing. They had their first Date at the Oakwood Cemetery, well their first OFFICIAL date. ;-) We then traveled to Troy NY to get some shots right in the downtown district. It was laughs and giggles all day, I couldn't ask for a happier couple! Read More
The day couldn't have been more full of activity than this wedding, people were all excited to see the Bride in her full get up before the ceremony. We were trying to get people away from the hotel door all morning while taking tons of Getting Ready Photos and details. When it came to the first look, Sean was excited, he couldn't wait to see her, in her dress, all made up. Nichole couldn't wait to see him, his beaming smile and his infectious laugh. They loved each other for years already, you could tell by the way the joked with each other, by the way they laughed with and at each other, and by the way they both go into full damage control mode when things didn't seem to go as expected. They can do anything together, I know this for a fact, because I've seen these two go to it. Check out the day with them! Read More
If anyone knows me, they would know that I love a good adventure. I got to shoot an Engagement for Sofia and Brad in NYC! Although it isn't quite an adventure for me since its somewhere I'm familiar with, it was an adventure filled with lots of laughs, lots of flirting and lots of walking. Neither I or Sofia and Brad are unfamiliar with NYC so I wanted to create photos that captures their personalities, their relationship with each other, and the place where they live and love. Check out my favorites from this session and tell me which ones were yours! Read More
The Wedding day goes by real fast. If you haven't already heard this, you will eventually hear this for the 11th-teenth time, yes I know that isn't an actual word but you get the point.
There is a ton of truth to this and thinking about your wedding day timeline is as important as picking out your venue and picking out your photographer! I will take you through a typical Wedding Day Timeline with Jay Zhang Photography to help the newly engaged couples plan out their day with their photographer. Read More
