Ali and Josh are the type of people who love a good adventure, and isn’t afraid of change and going with the flow when they need to. Set up for the best possible outcome but have alternate plans for the worst outcomes. There was a chance that their ceremony was going to have rain as the forecast was predicting, but as we started to check the hour to hour time, we were relieved to have just a small chance where the rain would stop by the time First Look was happening at Thomas Memorial Bull Park, a gorgeous little place out in Montgomery NY.
The day started and it had already rained in the early morning, but it was mostly drizzling by the time I had to be at Ali’s Parent’s home for some details and getting ready photos. Everyone was definitely ready to party and have some fun and in good spirits, especially Ali and her Mom. We put the finishing touches on Ali’s Makeup and Hair, and adjustments to her dress – and when we say we I mean her mom and her bridesmaids – then we were ready to go meet Josh at the park.
We got to the park and I met up with Josh who was extra excited – classic Josh. Bright eyed and bushy tailed and with the biggest smile and ready to do the first look with his love. It had JUST slowed down from drizzle to barley anything – so we set Josh up in place, and gave Ali an Umbrella, and then… well History! Read More
Sam and Kevin were super nervous at the beginning and as the day went by they were super excited and down for any new ideas I’ve been waiting to try out. We explored Washington Park and ended up at the Plaza of which we made some pretty steller shots that i’ve only been picturing in my head. They were game for something new and fresh. The day was nice and warm and their smiles were out all day. I made kevin do the “High school Jock” pose just for fun but something tells me that he’s done this particular stance before seeing how he looks so natural going into it, Sam’s facial reaction pretty much sums it up ;-)
I can’t wait to share with you their wedding in May which is JUST around the corner, can you believe it? It’ll be here in no time! Read More
Fun loving couple who are beautiful and silly and just love life? These two. They are a super chill couple who love a good adventure, but they also love being low key and easy going. We were being silly and overly dramatic and just having FUN all day on the property of the Sagamore Hotel and the day could not be any more GORGEOUS. They are having their wedding at The Barn at Lord Howe Valley and I could not be any more excited! We wouldn’t be super close to the water of Lake George, so why not an engagement session near the water to compliment this prospect?
Oh yea, We also practiced turns and twirls because her dress was SUPER FAB. It needed to happen. I was obsessed. Read More
Erika and Alex are SO adventurous. Let me just say this to all my upcoming couples, BE ADVENTUROUS, take the little bit of a risk for your photos. I always try to keep my clients safe, dry and clean but sometimes you just gotta trust me a little to get some amazing shots! These two were up for anything, I am so grateful because Kristen and I scouted the site early on and found some great spots for photos. It was raining that day and you know the old adage about rain… its wet, I mean good luck on your wedding day 😅😅😅.
There’s an old saying that rain is lucky on your wedding day because when you tie the knot on your wedding day and it rains, the knot itself is harder to untie. Think about that for a second ;-)

When I think about happiness and love and what couple’s are like when they are at their best together, I think about couple’s like Karissa and John. They laugh together, and I mean they laugh A LOT, they worry about the important things together, having fun, spending time, being happy and loving life. I am so lucky to find people like these two because they make sessions fun, because they keep things REAL with REAL happiness. We had SO much fun that day playing around in the beautiful urban setting and setting sun, and they hardly even noticed all the people just walking right through.
Brooklyn Bridge is ALWAYS packed with people, especially during sunset time and its hardly a wonder why some couples feel unsure about getting photos in these locations because there are so many families there enjoying their day at the park. However, we were in our own little world, and I love that about the city sometimes - we could be entrenched in the middle of a bunch of people, and because everyone is different, nothing is surprising. They felt comfortable just being in love. Read More
David and Joe are two silly people. Everything about them reminds me that life is way to short to be so serious. They just constantly were laughing and having fun and enjoying themselves and thats exactly what I wanted them to do - to just exist with each other in their space. There was just so much laughing there wasn't enough time to think about negativity and insecurities, only time to think about having fun, being in love, and laughing all the way home. It was a perfect day filled with perfectly real people. Read More
Darcy and Jonathan are geeks, and I love everything about it. They love to play table top games together, D&D and Character Creations, fantastical lore, etc. They also have their unique sensibilities - Darcy being assertive, thoughtful, and confident and Jonathan being intelligent, kind and laid back. There is nothing these two couldn't endure and withstand and nothing they couldn't do when they are together. They are unstoppable. Read More

Katie and Ryan are very sweet, they are down to earth and they are so chill. They're both super beauties and I don't think they know it (But sometimes though Katie definitely shows that she KNOWS she's beautiful - aint that right? Cause you are, Flaunt it girl.) They are definitely well prepared and easy going people who just love being together. They love their life, they love their dog, and they love each other. I can't say how much more full they are with love from all over, and its pretty cliche but they got their stuff together, and this wedding is going to be gorgeous! I can't wait for their day (even though I say that for everyone, its true!) They let me be creative and be inspired and I can't wait to give them something inspiring for their day in 2019 :-) Read More
These two have been waiting and waiting and WAITING for this day, with complicated situations barring the logistics of the event actually happening, it was FINALLY the day that these two got to tie the knot with each other. It was a beautifully happy day with these two beautiful women who just so badly wanted to be together and with each other. I don't know these two outside of them being together, but from what I've heard, they are the happiest they have ever been since they have been together, and all I wanted to do was document their happiness together. There was just so much love during this day. They were surrounded by family members who they wanted to share their day with, and the love that exuded the room was overwhelmingly heart warming. I'm pretty sure it was the perfect day for them, and i'm sure they'd want to do it again if they could! Read More
Tamara and Luisa are such a fun couple. They love to be silly, they love spending time with each other, and they LOVE to LAUGH. Our engagement session was filled with so much laughing, and loving and cuddling. There was even a bit of adventurousness, and some derpy climbing with attempts to not slip into the thawing river, but maybe I'll let them explain that one ;-). On to the cute photos! Read More
This past year has been the biggest year yet! Every year it gets better and better, and the thing that never changes is that my Clients are awesome and THE BEST. I've had the pleasure of traveling to so many different locations and meeting so many new and wonderful people and families. Kim first found me at a Bridal News Wedding Show, she was diving deep into the wedding planning and like most people planning their wedding, it was the first time and there was a lot of information to take in. When Kim and Rick met me out for a quick chat, I fell in love with the idea of their wedding day. It was going to be super small and intimate, It was going to encompass elements that they adored, and it was going to be a wedding geared towards their personalities. There were so many little things that tells you their story, can you name all the little details that they worked so hard to put together? There is just so many to name! Read More
I havn't seen Shelby and Jen since they first got married and they wanted to do some Photos for their Christmas Cards! It was a bit chilly, but they had no problem snuggling up and show each other and the camera some love and giggles. They are each other's family. Read More
Grace and Tim are two of the most amazing people I know. Granted, I didn't REALLY know them before our initial consultation meeting but since that day, I've only been dreaming of their wedding day. I've also been WAITING to capture these two the way I see them - In love, non-judgemental, tenacious loyalty, and willingness to make each other happy. Also, now that my job here is done, I can't wait to visit them in Philly!! <3 See you two soon Loviess! Read More
The theme of this Engagement session? Laughs, giggles, silliness ALL DAY LONG. Exactly what it was supposed to be, and my heart is so full from this session! I can't lie, it wasn't a perfectly cloudy day with no rain, it definitely rained, and they were definitely up for the adventure in this magical nature preserve. Ali and Josh were not nervous at all, if anything, they were excited, and they were willing to do whatever I wanted with a few requests - typically what my creative heart loves to hear! Read More
I can't lie, it was a rainy Sunday in the middle of the city and there was no evidence of it stopping anytime soon! Fortunately, these two were up for the adventure as the rain sometimes took some moments to waiver in its strength and allow us to be less wet. Might I add that the penguin umbrella was not planned? It was essentially the perfect prop for the day, and we played in the rain. regardless of where we decided to take photos, things were quiet, allowing this hard working hyper focused couple to really enjoy their time with each other. I first met Angela and Dan at the Century House Wedding Show and they won my free Engagement Session! They were nervous, as are most couples when they have to be in fornt of the camera, but once they warmed up a little and were able to be a little bit open with each other. It turned out spectacular. Compassion for others runs through the blood of these two, and when two kind hearts come together, it becomes so apparent that they carry their compassion through into their relationship. Although they live in NYC now, I can't wait for their Wedding! There were a lot of laughs and a lot of conversations that were had that might very well be embarrassing (but I couldn't hear it, i swear!). I don't know what they are like apart, but together they are calm and collected, hearts of ease and comfort. Let me show you what we made that day! Read More
These two love birds are getting married next year and I couldn't be more excited! They met me at a previous client's wedding and apparently they liked me ;) These two are funny, and they both have their own shy moments. These moments are always so fun to exploit because it brings out the giggles in each other. Tom, with his dad jokes and Briana with her adventurous attitude are just perfect for each other. I can't wait for their big day! Read More
